A Discovery Flight is designed for someone who wants to understand what learning to fly actually feels like. Your independent CFI introduces the aircraft, walks you through the preflight, explains what will happen, and conducts an introductory flight lesson in an MB Airworks Cessna 172.
Depending on weather, air traffic, operational conditions, and the instructor’s judgment, you may have the opportunity to handle the controls under supervision. If the lesson legally qualifies and is properly documented, the instructor may record applicable training in your logbook.

Discovery Flight
Approximately 1.5 hours total, including the ground introduction and about 30–45 minutes of actual flight time.

Will I get to fly the airplane?
You may be invited to handle the controls under instructor supervision when conditions and the instructor’s judgment allow. It cannot be guaranteed in every situation.
What route will we fly?
The route depends on weather, air traffic, temporary restrictions, and operational conditions. Miami, Biscayne Bay, coastline, or other approved areas may be visible, but no specific route or view is guaranteed.
Can the flight count toward pilot training?
Flight instruction may be logged when legally appropriate and properly endorsed by the independent CFI conducting the lesson.
What happens after purchase?
MB Airworks follows up to coordinate an available aircraft, independent CFI, date, and time. Flights are by appointment.
Can I give it as a gift?
